Cinque Terre

Just 40 minutes from Marina di Massa is one of the most beautiful Mediterranean areas in Liguria, Cinque Terre. A stretch of coast about 10 km long out of which, overlooking the sea, are located five ancient villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

The hilly area around them has steep slopes, softened someway by terraces that allow the cultivation of vegetable gardens and vineyards. The villages themselves have an amazing urban structure: buildings and houses are built on each other and squeezed between the rocks and the cliff that ends in the sea.
The shades of the sea combined with those of nature and the colorful houses of the Cinque Terre create a breathtaking landscape that enchants and fascinates at the same time.

Manarola, Vernazza, Monterosso and Riomaggiore have direct access to the sea with a few small beaches very appreciated for their peace and comfort. Corniglia is instead located in the hinterland on top of a promontory almost completely surrounded by vineyards.
Here in fact are produced fine wines such as Vernaccia and Schiacchetrà, wines from ancient history whose fame had passed the Ligurian borders already at the beginning of the fourteenth century.

The territory of Cinque Terre is an ideal area for nature walks, bike tours and wine tasting tours to discover the most authentic flavors and the most picturesque places of the coast.
